Scanning…

I had my additional scans today – chest and abdomen/pelvis CT, as well as a bone scan.  I can probably glow at night from all the radiation I’ve had in the past month!  I’ll spare you the fun details including what the barium drink is like, or how the IV contrast dye makes you feel like you’re peeing your pants on the table…

The most important thing is that the surgeon called me at 5:30pm to tell me they were all NEGATIVE!!!  So what that means is, no metastatic cancer.

Big relief.  HUUUUUUGE relief.

Bring it on, chemo/radiation.  Bring.  It.  On.

Now about that Sangria……

  1. Alex…thank you so much for your posts. I have been thinking of you and am sorry for not writing sooner after your last two posts. Honestly, I was mad along with you when you posted the initial results, and didn’t know what I could possibly say to help. I was so inspired by your next post and so glad that you once again found your positive attitude and determination. I was so so happy to read this post, and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and will continue to send positive thoughts your way.

You are one tough and inspiring woman…keep it up!! You can do it.

  2. YES!!! Finally, some well-deserved GOOD news!!! I hope you get to sleep just a little easier tonight.
Ps – I’ve had the pleasure of that barium drink as well. You’ll be enjoying white poop for a few days, if I recall correctly 🙂

  4. This is the best news Alex!!! I have been reading your posts and think of you everyday . I actually took your advise about slowing down and taking the time to enjoy life to take things in. This past weekend I visited an old friend from childhood she lives in Newport RI. We enjoyed the cliff walk along the ocean. It was beautiful! I don’t know if you have ever been there but I highly recommend it to just stop breathe in the ocean air and enjoy. Oh and also a cocktail ( a sangria) at the Oceancliff at sunset. Wow amazingly breathe taking! Stay strong as you are! You are such and inspiration!!! I’m glad you didn’t leave your head in the sand to long! Now on to the next step and kick its ass!!! Thoughts and prayers always🌺
